Karunam Welfare Foundation (“Karunam”, “we”, “us”) operates KarunamOne to support students and working professionals through learning, wellbeing, mentorship and volunteering programmes.

Information we collect

Depending on your role and use of the service, we collect account details, verified mobile number, date of birth, education or professional information, programme participation, messages and shared files, learning progress, volunteering records, wellbeing check-in records, points, reward-delivery details and technical service records.

Why we use it

We use information to provide and secure your account, personalise programmes, operate mentorship and volunteering, record progress and attendance, send requested communications and birthday greetings, deliver eligible gifts, provide support, prevent misuse and improve KarunamOne.

Who can access it

Your private information is available only to you, authorised Karunam administrators and service providers needed to operate KarunamOne. Mentors and project leads receive only information required for the programme in which you participate. We do not sell personal information.

Wellbeing information

Private wellness check-ins are not a medical diagnosis or emergency service. Access is restricted and used to provide trends and appropriate support.

Retention and deletion

We keep information while your account is active and as needed for programme delivery, security and legal obligations. You may initiate deletion from Profile & Settings or through our public deletion page. Some records may be retained where legally required, fraud prevention or safeguarding requires it, or the record must be anonymised rather than erased.

Your choices

You may update profile information, disable birthday greetings, request a role change, withdraw optional preferences, request access or correction, and request deletion. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully completed.

Security and children

KarunamOne currently serves users aged 18 or older. We use access controls and verified authentication, but no online service can promise absolute security.
